Hudson’s Bay Foundation commits $1 million to support ongoing Covid-19 response

The donation will be made to Food Banks Canada and Kids Help Phone, each of whom will receive $500,000. The Hudson’s Bay Foundation will also match donations as it encourages Canadians to support these charities, through March 31.

Stores are expected to remain closed for two weeks at which point operations will be reassessed. The company said that during the closure “store associates will be paid for all scheduled shifts that were planned for the two weeks.” Furthermore, like many other retailers, the Hudson’s Bay will be extending its return policy by 30 days.
